Since 1960, Pat Scott Masonry has built the natural stone walls, patios, pool decking, and fireplaces that define Santa Barbara and Montecito’s finest properties. Founded on the Kirk Johnson estate in Montecito by Pat Scott, who trained under Italian stonecutters practicing a century-old craft, the company’s work now stands at Lotusland, the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, the Mission Creek Bridge on lower State Street, and the De la Guerra Plaza entrance downtown.

Eddie Langhorne, who worked alongside Pat Scott for years, purchased the company and carried the craft forward after Scott’s retirement in 1998, keeping the hand-cut stonemasonry standards that built the firm’s reputation.

The company’s signature is naturalistic swimming pools, built with grottos, waterfalls, and boulder settings that read as part of the landscape rather than a construction project. Beyond pools, the team builds veneer walls, driveways, entry ways, steps, columns, coping, fountains, carved stone furniture, and olive tree settings for estate properties throughout the region.
